Ein Hundert Prozentig
Dobermanns is a new Kennel that is located in Brotton
in the North East of England, and is dedicated to the
Sports & Working Dobermann. We originally came
from a background of Showing, our foundation bitch Sallate
Smirnoff being from one of the most successful show
litters bred in Britain. After several years of Showing
Dogs we realised that there was much more to the Dobermann
that would ever be revealed in a Show ring. Our first
litters to dubious continental Imports produced unacceptable
temperaments. However our Prozentig Fergusons Filly
led us to the Sport of Schutzhund and a complete change
in our interests in dogs. All of our dogs are all now
trained in Schutzhund all demonstrating various levels
of performance as determined by there genetic make up
and training. After some time working with our dogs we
came to realise that the hectic nerve costume that our
dogs possess was not the entirely correct temperament
and so we looked towards the export market.
After several months of trying we secured at 14 months
Edmondo Von Bayerischen Loewen from Volker Muller
& Ursula Staudigel in Germany. Edmondo (Nero)
has been a revelation with a completely nerve free courageous
temperament entirely suited to the Sport. Entirely the
correct Temperament for a Sport dog. Our gratitude to
Volker and Ursel is great as this dog is well in front
of the usual quality of foreign imports to Britain. He
has opened many doors for us with competion in the Show
ring and Working field all being accomplished in Europe
already. Nero has become the first male Dobermann
in the UK to gain VPG 3. He was also the first UK based
dog to pass ZTP( V1A). Nero is currently VPG 3 ZTP V1A
ADpr the highest qualified Dobermann ever in the UK. We
look to Kor grade Nero next year. In addition we plan
to undertake the UK FCI Elimination Trial plus IDC Welt
meister and other major European trials. In addition Nero
in gaining his confirmation gradings for the Koerung also
gained a CAC and RCACIB. Hardly the qualifications you
would expect from what many call an ugly working dog.
Our second Import is Askya from the Dobergang.
Obtained from Robin Curfs Birgit Krabbe. This puppy
is from the line Von der Scheltheide. Father
Chakko a regular competitor at IDC and DV Meistershaft.
We hope this youngster can continue the tradition of
only Dobermanns with the correct mental characteristics
for Sport being brought to our kennel. Askya
is to do her BH and VPG 1 Shortly.
The baby of our Imports is Jotunheim Diser DeDe.
Father being the awesome Hanide Nemrod Chuck
a name that should be well known to anybody interested
in genuine working ability. Her mothers line are the
Gold Plated and well known traditional German
Working lines with Bingo Van Elondonk featuring
heavily in her ancestors. Dede is already showing
great early promise and will be taken through BH ZTP
VPG etc as soon as she is old enough and has sufficient
training.
All of our dogs have been selected for there Working
ability first. We have bought dogs from genetically
diverse back grounds to give us some flexibility in
our future breedings. With only proven ability behind
each animal. As an example at least 1 parent from all
of the dogs has achieved good Kor gradings. No other
UK breeder has this behind there stock. We have not
forgotten Confirmation and correct structure and good
health go hand in hand with working ability . But those
essential drives do come first in our book.
Our other goal is to re-establish the Dobermanns reputation
as a credible working dog. Capable of matching any breed
in the UK. Possibly reintroducing the breed to Police
and Service use where Dobermannns have been absent in
the UK since the 1950s.
Both of the males in the family are currently undergoing
training for Helper work. James hopes to gain a British
Schutzhund Association Helper licence latter this year.
James is only 17 years old.
Prozentig Dobermanns exist primarily for the
enjoyment and promotion of Dog Sport. The enhancement
of the mental characteristics of the Dobermann is a
priority. We don't breed regularly and do not encourage
Pet Ownership of our high drive dogs (unless to someone
who understands the working temperament). Our dogs require
training and mental stimulation. If they get this they
are a highly prized companion. Indeed most of our dogs
live indoors with us. Dobermanns are a working breed
and this is our main priority though we will always
show our dogs more as a demonstration of the soundness
of the character than a demonstration of physical beauty.
The sport of Schutzhund is new to Dobermanns in GB.
We hope our involvement will encourage more Dobermann
people to participate in GB.
We live in an extensive property with a 1/3-acre lawn
with 2 permanent protection hides built that we use
for Protection and Obedience training. We adjoin farmland
that we use for tracking. We have kennel accommodation
built onto the side of our house. Our training advisors
are Tom Nye Vytensa GSD (twice a competitor at the WUSV
GSD World Championships) . We are members of the British
Schutzhund Association, the NE Schutzhund Club. Also
the Dobermann Verein (German Dobermann club) and DV
Schutzhund Club Franken in Germany.
